PostSubject: Dragon Solidarity Synchro   Thu Oct 20, 2011 10:34 pm

This is my real-life deck. I know some obvious changes (like "buy more really expensive cards, n00b") but I'd like some help that is not incredibly expensive.

Here is my custom deck. Basic strategy is to use Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon to special summon a dragon from the grave and then normal summon from my hand to synchro, or vice-versa.

3 Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
3 Red-Eyes Wyvern
3 Masked Dragon
2 Delta Flyer
2 Dread Dragon
Prime Material Dragon
Strong Wind Dragon
Dodger Dragon
Exploder Dragon
Element Dragon
Lancer Lindwurm
Totem Dragon

2 Dragon Ravine
2 Solidarity
Future Fusion
Heavy Storm
Monster Reborn
Book of Moon
Burial from a Different Dimension
Dark Hole

2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Dark Bribe
2 Trap Stun
Solemn Judgment
Burst Breath

Extra Deck (real life)
Ally of Justice Catastor
Magical Android
Iron Chain Dragon
Flamvell Uruquizas
Exploder Dragonwing
Black Rose Dragon
2 Ancient Fairy Dragon
Colossal Fighter
Red Dragon Archfiend
3 Stardust Dragon
2 Five-Headed Dragon

Side Deck:
Dragon's Mirror (if I need to use a second Five-Headed)
A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon (if they use tons of S/T)
Delta Flyer (not sure if Dread Dragon is actually worth using, so I may swap out for this)
Twin-Headed Behemoth (1500 ATK, level 3, survives one turn of battle no questions asked)
MST (again for the mass amounts of S/T)
Solidarity (if I want to drop my level 6 dragons and boost my power of low-level ones further)
Enemy Controller (defense or a quick steal for a tribute or synchro)
Mind Control (quick steal for synchro)
Torrential Tribute (if I drop the high-level ones, I'll usually replace Burst Breath)
Dark Bribe (spell and trap defense)
Call of the Haunted (considering this one... not too sure)
Starlight Road (great for defense because there's no cost, and gets me a Stardust for attacking with. I know the effect can only be used once with Starlight, but I have 3 Stardust so I'm not losing anything)

I'll explain it a bit more. I use Masked Dragon to get to pretty much anything.
Element Dragon is a level 4 with 1500 ATK, making it searchable and used with Delta Flyer/Dread Dragon for an easy synchro summon of a high-level monster. It also works well with Stardust Dragon, because Stardust is wind. Solidarity further boosts its strength, making it incredibly powerful (2300 ATK, attacks twice, LV4 so it's easy to summon). There really aren't many fire dragons here, but Masked Dragon is and so is Black Rose Dragon (assuming I don't nuke the field, which I always do).
Burst Breath is the better form of Torrential Tribute because it doesn't necessarily kill all my monsters. It can be activated at any time, not just after a summon. I can tribute a dragon with high ATK and kill all their monsters if necessary. For example, if they were to summon Chaos Sorceror, not use it's effect, wait and summon again, I have the ability to sit around and wait on them to do ANYTHING and not rush to conclusions by using Torrential before they are done. If they do use the effect, I'll just chain to it with Burst Breath and it's gone. It's almost always better. The other traps are just because I can. I have some free space, so I use those.
As for my non-Dragons in the synchro deck, I have the ability to summon level 5s at times and there are no level 5 dragon synchros that this deck can summon. I use Flamvell simply because I need another level 6 (see my dream list below). I use 3 Stardust because I can.

As for my dream synchro deck, here it is:
Black Rose
Iron Chain
2 Stardust
Scrap Dragon
Black-Winged Dragon
Orient Dragon
Trident Dragion
Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
Number 17: Leviathan Dragon

Brionac would be nice, but it's not actually a dragon. Plus, I never have anything in hand.

Well thanks I guess... There could always be changes to it though. It works out well enough to win about half the time, but good decks can win at least 60% of the time (by my standards anyway).
